OGT has over 20 patent families covering a range of technologies. OGT actively out-licences certain technologies and in particular operates an open licensing policy for the company’s fundamental microarray technology. OGT also has an interest in in-licensing technologies in the general area of genomic analysis and biomarker discovery.

The intellectual property (IP) portfolio of OGT encompasses a wide range of techniques and technologies and includes:

• DNA and protein microarray technology
• Chemistry for attaching oligonucleotides to surfaces
• Hybridisation and chain extension technologies for sequence determination
• Scanning technology
