OGT have a proven track record in a range of applications:
Comparative genome hybridisation
Using our expertise in microarray technology OGT has developed a proprietary target preparation protocol and probe design workflow to develop quality customised CGH microarrays. These can be used to investigate chromosomal aberrations in clinical aCGH analysis, oncology and learning disabilities.
"OGT's flexible methodological approach means that their array design can be optimised to suit our needs. We have a good rapport with OGT; the people we work with are very open, friendly and helpful.”
Dr. Samantha JL Knight, Oxford University Research Lecturer, The Wellcome Trust Centre
for Human Genetics, Oxford
Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP)
Our technology and scientific knowledge has enabled OGT to produce bespoke chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) arrays to identify precisely where transcription factors bind to their targets in living cells.
"We are very excited about this collaboration with OGT because the ChIP-on-ChIP method means we
can analyse much more information in a cost effective and painless way."
Professor Steve Busby FRS, Principal Investigator, University of Birmingham
Prokaryote and eukaryote gene expression studies
OGT has developed a probe optimisation protocol for use in gene expression array studies, saving on both experimental time and costs. OGT design customised arrays for the following expression studies:
- gene splice variants
- Prokaryotic probe optimisation
- tiling arrays to identify exons
"Working with OGT made good experimental as well as good economic sense."
Dr. Nigel Saunders, Lecturer in Microbiology, Sir William Dunn School of Pathology
SNP
OGT can investigate the presence of SNPs using either a hybridisation or primer extension approach
Protein Binding Arrays
OGT has set up and optimised a protocol to convert synthesised single stranded oligonucleotides into double DNA duplexes to establish binding profiles of human transcription factors.
"OGT has been excellent to work with, has responded to our requirements very rapidly, and has put in a lot of work and effort."
Dr. Ioannis Ragoussis, Head of Genomics, The Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics, Oxford
Methylation profiling
OGT design customised microarrays to determine the position of DNA methylation sites along the genome and to establish their effects on regulation in gene expression.

Specials
OGT's microarray fabrication uses flexible chemistry to enable synthesis of both 3' to 5' and 5' to 3' and linkers.
